(working on the Arabic translation of Dune/كثيب) "Trimaran Dhows" I had to familiarize myself with marine terms, yachting, catamarans, and the correct plural form of "dhow" in Arabic! "سفن الداوات الشراعية ثلاثية القطمران" Complicating things slightly is the not-so-obvious context of the passage: "They’d flown over the southern jungles... they had seen the ant lines in the greenery.. man-gangs carrying their loads on suspensor-buoyed shoulder poles. And in the sea reaches there’d been the white petals of trimaran dhows." Totally worth it though.
