الداوات dhows

This might be of interest to linguists/translators
This one cost me half a day to get right! (working on the Arabic translation of  Dune/كثيب)
"Trimaran Dhows"
I had to familiarize myself with marine terms, yachting, catamarans, and the correct plural form of "dhow" in Arabic!
"سفن الداوات الشراعية ثلاثية القطمران"
Complicating things slightly is the not-so-obvious context of the passage:
"They’d flown over the southern jungles... they had seen the ant lines in the greenery.. man-gangs carrying their loads on suspensor-buoyed shoulder poles. And in the sea reaches there’d been the white petals of trimaran dhows."
Totally worth it though.
And it's embarrassing to admit, but at first glance, before looking it up, I thought "the white petals of trimaran dhows" is talking about an alien plant!
